Privacy Policy

Gate International A.Ş. ("Gate International", "we", "us") operates www.gateinternational.co and provides real-estate advisory services in Türkiye and the Gulf. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we use it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, Law No. 6698).

2. Information we collect

  • Information you submit. When you complete a contact form, request a property shortlist, or apply for editor access, we collect your name, email address, phone number, company, and any message you choose to send.
  • Account information. If you sign in via Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and a unique provider ID. We do not receive your password.
  • Technical data. Server logs (IP address, user-agent, request path, timestamp) and analytics events necessary for security, fraud prevention, and aggregated usage statistics.
  • Cookies. See section 6.

3. How we use your information

  • To answer your enquiry and prepare a property shortlist (legal basis: performance of a contract / pre-contract steps).
  • To operate the editor portal and authenticate access (legal basis: contract with the registered user).
  • To send service-related email (registration confirmations, approvals, password resets) (legal basis: legitimate interest / contract).
  • To analyse aggregated traffic and improve the site (legal basis: legitimate interest).
  • To comply with legal obligations under Turkish law (e.g. tax, anti-money-laundering checks where required).

We do not sell personal data. We do not use your data for automated decision-making with legal effects.

4. Service providers we share data with

We use a small number of vetted processors. Each is contractually bound to handle data only on our instructions and to maintain appropriate security measures.

  • Supabase — database and authentication (data stored in EU region).
  • Google LLC — Google Analytics 4 (anonymised IP), Google Sign-In, Google Workspace mail delivery.
  • Apple Inc. — Sign in with Apple.
  • Vercel Inc. — hosting and edge delivery.

5. International transfers

Where our processors transfer data outside Türkiye / the EEA (e.g. Google, Apple, Vercel — United States), the transfer is protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard recognised under GDPR Article 46 and KVKK Article 9.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

  • Strictly necessary — session and authentication cookies (Supabase). These cannot be disabled without breaking sign-in.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*). Stored up to 13 months. You can opt out via browser settings or the Google Analytics Opt-out browser add-on.

7. Data retention

  • Contact-form submissions: 24 months from last interaction, then deleted or anonymised.
  • Editor accounts: until the account is deleted by the user or by us due to inactivity.
  • Server logs: 90 days.
  • Analytics events: 14 months (GA4 default).
  • Records required to be kept by Turkish tax/commercial law: 10 years.

8. Your rights

Under GDPR and KVKK you may, in respect of your own personal data:

  • Request access to the data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion (subject to legal retention obligations).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Request portability of data you provided to us.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK Kurumu) or your local EU supervisory authority.

9. Security

We use TLS in transit, encrypted storage at rest, role-based access control, and audit logs. No system is perfectly secure; if we discover a breach affecting your data we will notify you and the competent authority within 72 hours as required by law.

10. Children

The site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be notified by email to registered users.
